Sarah graduated from the University of British Columbia Masters of Physiotherapy program in 2007. She is an active member of the Physiotherapy Association of British Columbia (PABC). She has also completed a BSc Kinesiology (Honours) and a MSc Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Victoria.

Since graduating, she has furthered her education by specializing in manual therapy through the Orthopaedics Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Sarah has completed a certification in Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (CGIMS). She is very interested in Myofascial Release and has completed many courses in this area including specific courses in Cervical-Thoracic, Pelvis, and Women’s Health areas of treatment. Sarah has also pursued other post-graduate courses in Kinesio taping and Vestibular rehabilitation.

More recently, Sarah has pursued Clinical Pilates training through Balanced Body Pilates. Sarah provides individualized Clinical Pilates sessions using a full complement of Pilates apparatus (reformer, cadillac, chair, and barrels). Sarah is very passionate about incorporating Pilates practice in to her clinical offerings.

Sarah is passionate about providing quality, hands-on physiotherapy treatment with emphasis on education and therapeutic exercise to help promote a return to active independence. She incorporates many different therapeutic approaches in order to individualize treatment so it will most benefit a client.

In the past, Sarah has participated in many sports. Through high school and university she competed in rowing, and she had the opportunity to represent Canada as a Junior. She participated in many running and triathlon races and completed Ironman Canada in Penticton on two occasions, with a personal best of 10:31. She also raced competitively in Road cycling and Cyclocross disciplines for 6 years and had the opportunity to race with the Canadian National team in North America and Europe. During her many athletic pursuits, she has learned first hand about the process of injury and healing and the patience that is often required.
